Long Island Interior Painting Company
Suffolk County Interior Painters
The interior of a home says a lot about the owner. As a Long Island Painting Company we understand the value of doing a good job. A home is not just a place of residence but a personal expression of the people who live in it. Painting a home is a process, one that is best left to the professionals.
It is important to follow all the steps in the process so you have a quality finish. You also need experienced painters that will do the job to the highest standard. Shown below are the steps in the process that our company takes when doing interior home painting.
1. Room Preparation And Protection
First, furniture is moved away from the walls to the center of the room. Our Long Island Painters cover furniture and the floor in plastic tarps to protect them from damage. They tape over light switches and power outlets.
2. Drywall Prep And Repairs
Workers fill cracks or holes in the walls and repair missing textures. Caulking cracks around baseboards, windows and doors seal joints and seams against air leaks.
3. Painting The Wall
After the repairs are complete the painting begins. Workers do any additional patching and sanding after the first coat has dried. After that, the second and final layer of paint is added on the walls.
4. Cleaning Up The Area
Once the paint has dried, the crew cleans up the work space. They remove their work materials and clean up dirt and debris and take out the trash bags. After wiping down surfaces, workers will remove protective covering materials and return the furniture to its rightful place.
5. Final Inspection Of The Room
The foreman and work crew personally check the quality of the work done. Customers will also have a chance to walk through and give a review of the job.
